After weeks hunting for a Cotswolds pile with nine bedrooms, plenty of land and no public rights of way, on a budget of up to £10 million, Harry and Meghan have reportedly settled for another house on a wealthy friend’s estate.
They had been living in his main house since they landed in August. Now they have the one down the drive.
In case you need a refresher, the timeline on the Sussexes and homes:
April 2019: they move into Frogmore Cottage, a gift from the late Queen, after a £2.4 million refurbishment paid from the Sovereign Grant.
2020: they buy the Montecito mansion.
March 2023: they are asked to vacate Frogmore, weeks after Spare is published.
May 2025: Harry tells the BBC he can’t see a world in which he would bring his wife and children back to the UK.
August 2026: they move back to the UK.
