Ryan Fournier, co-founder of Students for Trump and the man who built Donald Trump’s college army, is sitting in a Washington, D.C. jail without bond, awaiting an October 8 trial on multiple felony charges.
Federal prosecutors say Fournier grabbed his girlfriend by the hair, knocked her to the ground, and punched her in the face at least twice after she tried to wake him from a drunken stupor last May at his D.C. apartment. A switchblade lay at his side as he told her, “you’re going to die tonight,” according to the arrest affidavit.
He also screamed “I’ll kill everyone here,” and threatened, “Do you want me to crush your head with this lamp?” Prosecutors say he later threatened to have another woman killed if she refused to lie for him. As evidence, they filed a photograph of Fournier pointing a gun at a former girlfriend.
It is not the first accusation. Fournier was arrested in North Carolina in 2023 after allegedly striking a different girlfriend in the forehead with a 9mm pistol, leaving a one-inch gash. Those charges were dropped.
Then came a second D.C. arrest in June, when the Secret Service picked him up after he allegedly texted the same woman he was accused of assaulting weeks earlier.
Fournier has pleaded not guilty. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington has given him until September 11 to accept a plea deal before the case goes before a jury.
Even behind bars, his X account keeps posting political content to more than a million followers. He runs an outfit called Radical Alert, which claims to expose “radicals” on college campuses.
The Students for Trump network he built now spans 350 chapters, with domains and accounts once leased by Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA.
Trump has offered no comment.
